Christopher M. Hack

Christopher M. Hack’s practice at Thompson Brody & Kaplan focuses on litigating property subrogation claims across the country. These cases involve fires, explosions, water damage, construction defects and toxic torts. Chris has broad experience in state and federal courts and looks forward to representing his insurance clients through all phases of litigation—from pre-suit demands through discovery to trial and appellate work.

Prior to joining TBK in 2022, Chris spent more than a decade as a class action litigator at two prominent firms. In that role, he helped obtain multiple eight-figure settlements on behalf of classes of thousands of consumers. His class action work involved complex, multi-party litigation and resulted in many reported decisions in Illinois, California and Delaware.

Before law school, Chris was a reporter and editor at a Chicago-area daily newspaper. As a reporter he covered state and federal courts and was assigned for more than four years to the press room at the Dirksen federal building in Chicago.
